For over 25 years, Velenosi Power Skating and Hockey Development, has helped thousands of hockey players in the Hamilton and surrounding area.

The "Velenosi Way of Skating" is a unique teaching technique developed by Marilynn Velenosi and has continued over the years, for all levels of hockey players from beginner to pro.

All instructors with the school are former VPS skaters, which ensures proper teaching, consistency and correction to every student.

Sandy Velenosi: Head Instructor
For the past 12 years, Sandy brings his speed, balance, lateral movements, agility, stick and puck control skills and hockey experience to Velenosi Power Skating and Hockey Development classes.  Sandy has instructed many teams and hockey organizations over the years including, Mount Hamilton Hockey Association, Hamilton Hub Association, Caledonia Hockey Association, Chedoke Minor Hockey Association, Flamborough Hockey Association, Flamborough Girls Hockey, Hamilton Reps AAA/AA, Stoney Creek AAA/AA, Hamilton Hawks, Hamilton Ringette, Carlisle Hockey School, Hagersville Minor Hockey Association and spent three Summers as power skating and hockey development director for the Carolina Hurricanes Youth Hockey Camps. Marilynn Velenosi: Coordinator
Marilynn has operated VPS for over 25 years, developing hockey players from beginner to pro level.  She has worked with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL and privately with many pro players. VPS Pro Alumni includes NHL draft picks  Adam Mair, Shane Wright, Brian McGratton, Andrew Ianiero, Mark Popovic. Many former students have also played professional hockey in Europe, OHL, Jr. A, Jr. B, Jr. C, or have received hockey scholarships to Colleges and Universities throughout Canada and the States.
